George reading George

I wonder if George had to have it explained to him?

Assembully 2007

After reading the great article by Steven Vegh of the Virginian-Pilot about the Assembly 2007 event, I thought I would create a cartoon. Basically the evangelicals are getting together this weekend at the beach to "reclaim it for God" and that the first settlers came to this land for "Christ". I guess capitalism and freedom of religion had nothing to do with it? It will be a cesspool of televangalists here this weekend. Oy vey.

Click the post title to read his article.

The illustrations are based directly from the recent TIME magazine cover, but none the same, a tribute to many who died last monday.

not a beach boys tune anymore...

This is in reaction to Presidential Candidate John McCain's recent speach in his quest to be the next President. When asked about attacking Iran, he sang this response to the tune of the Beach Boy's "Barbara Anne".

Fuzzy memory?

Alberto Gonzales was counted as "not recalling" recent events related to the firing of a group of federal prosecuters as many as 70 times during the hearing this week. Someone smells like a liar.

We will Prevail.

I spent 5 great years there and now I feel like those years of happiness and fun are way too distant in these tragic times.

Blackwater vs U.S Army

I was inspired to do this after reading an article about Blackwater by Joanne Kimberlin and Bill Sizemore in the Virginian-Pilot on the contracted military forces and thier growing role in the Iraq war and beyond. The quesstion I am trying to pose is "What choice looks better to potential recruits?"

Court is in Session

My hometown mayor and public officials came under fire this week from big mouth Bill O'reilly in regards to the death of two teenage girls. They were killed in an auto accident where the driver of the other car was an illegal immigrant and under the influence. O'reilly attacked the mayor, sheriff and a Chesapeake judge(couldn't find a reference photo-drat) for "allowing" this immigrant to go un-deported. Thanks to a friend for the inspiration...

larry wins!

While they were battling for custody of Anna Nicole's baby, the underlying victory was that whoever won paternity also gained control of Anna Nicole's millions that she inherited from her late billionaire husband, as well as her personal wealth. While the money all goes to baby Danilynn, whoever is the father will most likely gain control over that money. While I would hope to believe they both wanted the baby I really feel that money had more to do with it...

Imus on Al

I actually took the time to read the transcript of this first. Al brought him on under the stance that he demanded Imus get fired. Imus tried to scapegoat from being a racist by talking about the camp he holds at a ranch every year that has 10% black children there and how he lobbies hard for sickle cell anemia. Then Al's friends called in to drill him more and made fun of imus for doing "used car commercials". At the end of the day I give you this illustration.

Tiger Tees Off

I created this illustration aftering thinking about what kind of cynical comments could go on during the Masters Tournament. I just found it really ironic that country clubs and golf are usually associated with rich, white people and I think it's great that someone of another color has broken through to become the elite performer in the sport.
